Highways and Hedges : Ice Cream

Bop's Frozen Custard in Mandeville, LA

Locally owned yummy custard.
Flavors sampled: chocolate, vanilla, mint shake, coffee shake, dirt and worms
Delicious and very creamy.

November 12
Little Vic's
French Quarter, Nola

Gelatos tried: Pomegranate, raspberry, mocha, chili chocolate, chocolate cheesecake, watermelon, strawberry
Loved it.

Our Theme Song

We chose our song for two reasons. First, its a catchy tune that will drive us mad by the time we get home. The kids will work on learning it in three acapella parts on our first day. We will post our finished piece soon, for now its a You Tube link. Second, the theme of travelling both highways and hedges is inspiring. Not only will we travel planned highways, but hope to be surprised by adventures beyond our plans in the hedges. (Lets hope they are not literal hedges!)
